Beginning with Draco's unexpected arrival at the Dursleys, Harry's summer after sixth year becomes filled with activity and many secrets. As his summer progresses, Harry generates several unexpected allies as he finds himself actively becoming the leader of the Light side.
Cosmic's comments: Probably the longest fic I've ever read. Fantastic take on... pretty much everything. They way the Horcruxes are handled is pretty much better than DH. Though the main characters are a bit too hormonal at times (switching from happy to angry to upset to crying in less than five minutes at times), making them a bit OOC, it feels quite real and is a lovely read.
Paws of Fury by Veritas

Yes, it's a Kitten!Harry fic. I know - but it was there and I had to get it out of my system. Give it a chance.

Harry has a respectable life: devoted to his family, teacher to the least-talented of the Wizarding community, retired hero. The Prophet hasn’t caught on to a few things, such as the fact that Harry is gay. He and Ginny want to keep it that way. It’s not a great life, but it’s his – until one day, an old school rival comes by to investigate his class. Suddenly, Harry’s life is no longer predictable.
Cosmic's comments: This is lovely. Fantastic. It has plot, which I always appreciate, it has realistic kids, and it has a fantastic characterization of Harry and Draco. It's also epilogue compliant, which is great. Extremely well-written and a joy to read :)

Cosmic's comments: I'm not too fond of this type of AU, but I've fallen in love withbethbethbeth's stories and this one is fantastic. In character, as far as they can be when there's no inherent animosity from Snape concerning Harry's father.

Starts out in once place, ends up in another - the plot of the first third of the story doesn't seem to completely go with where it turns to after that. But good stuff.

Cosmic's comments: I *adore* this. The intricate plot (a better plot than DH, to be honest, as far as the Horcruxes are concerned), the relationships - not only the SS/HG relationship, but her friendships with Harry, Ron, and all the others - and the writing in general. Fabulous!
