I guess Gibbs' hero worship is supposed to mirror the way Tony and the others' hero worship Gibbs, but Gibbs isn't at all like Franks. For example, Gibbs would *never* leave a file open on a desk, so that the father and husband of a murdered daughter and wife would be able to find the culprit and kill him...
