Happy meme: day 4 (pic spam!)

Today's happy: My bathroom is done! Yay! And it's so very pretty.


First, a photo of my old floor (and you can see part of the toilet). Because I only realized after they started hacking up the floor that I didn't have any pictures of my old floor, this photo is from 2005, before I moved in. The photo doesn't do it justice in how bad it was - the tile was cracked and dirty in a way that I couldn't get clean, no matter what I tried.



Aaaand today, after the new floor and toilet is in (and new fluffy pink towels ♥ )

Close-up of the floor, which is awfully hard to photograph. It has big circles in it, even though it doesn't look like it in the photo... but it catches the light real nice and lights up the whole bathroom (which is necessary because it doesn't have a window).




Aaand as extra, because I love it and it makes me happy: my "Sweets for my Sweet" painting by Sarah Graham, on my wall. Again, ignore cats. And yes, I like Britney. Always have, probably always will. The Onyx Hotel Tour is the only time I've seen her live, and the poster has been hanging in my living room since. I'm looking for something to replace it at some point (because it's like five years old now), but for now it's fine where it is. "Sweets for my Sweet" lights up the room so nicely...

Your cats really do love to be photographed, don't they? :D But they're very cute. And I love your new bathroom floor! I can see the circle thing you describe in the first two pictures so I know what you mean. Looks very fancy! I like it!

As long as I'm not actually trying to take a picture of them, they do love it. If I try to take pictures of them, they turn their ass to me or keep moving around so much that all I get is their tail or a messy picture of legs or something *g* Stupid kitties.

Funny, I was trying to get a photo of the circle-thingies in the last picture, and it really doesn't show in that picture ^^ But I'm very happy. They weren't nearly as expensive as some of the tiles my mom and I looked at, and they were brand new when we got to the store - I fell in love immediately :)

I found it hard to concentrate on the new bathroom floor because the cats are SO gorgeous *g*. And I LOVE cats! But the flooring is excellent too - looks great. Very smart and tasteful as well as being practical.

I love your cat site! The ginger mum and kittens are adorable :-). And how great that you work for a cat help organisation. I was chairman of my local branch of the RSPCA for awhile and we did a lot of cat rehoming work. I ran their website for five years until I had to give up because of pressure of work.

I have two cats - Harley and Jemima. Both are very gorgeous and very naughty *g*. That's me and Jemima when she was a very small, very sick kitten. She's grown up now (she's one and half now) and although she'll always be small she's very healthy these days.

Thank you :) My favorites (other than Tara and Angel of course) are the Disney kittens. I developed such a bond with them, because they had no mom so they saw me as their mom. But the ginger ones made for very pretty pictures.

She's adorable - and such cool names! :) Naughty? Please, show me a cat who isn't ;p

I just pic spammed with my kitty cats... it's so much fun to look back at when they were little.

Fresnel lenses (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fresnel_lens). Y'know, those things you find in overhead projectors, among other things. Although not, in fact, in your floor tiles -- they're not even Fresnel reflectors, since those focus light, and your tiles (presumably) disperse it.

Yes, adding "nerd" is... superfluous. Surplus to requirement. (Also, I prefer "geek".)
