Buffy/Spike has always been my main ship. However, I've been re-watching parts of the series, and there are points where I just have absolutely no understanding of what Spike sees in her, because she's a complete bitch. There are definitely times when I ship Spike/Willow, because they have nice chemsitry.
Buffy is one of the few fandoms where I don't slash, but that's mostly because there are no male characters between whom I see all that great chemistry. I find Angel to be extremely boring, and Xander is sweet and cool, but to my mind the "best friend" rather than boyfriend to anyone, boy or girl.
