Thesis is dooooone!

I'm done! My thesis is *done*!
Yay me.
20 000 words on DNA as evidence in crime cases. It's kind of funny, because 20 000 words isn't very long (The Raft of the Medusa was 48 000 words), and yet it's taken soo long to finish it.
I might ask the f-list for help with the English summary. It's written, but it kinda needs a beta, because my academic law English probably leaves something to be desired. It's strange how much harder and very different it is to write academic stuff in another language, rather than just writing for my own entertainent (ie fics and other stories). Also, translating is hard. I wrote the summary in Swedish and then translated it - ugh.
But still. I'm very happy :)
(It should be noted that I'm not done-done. My teacher hasn't given me the heads up, and after the final seminar where I present the essay, there'll probably be changes. However, for now, I'm finished.)
*g* Because it's fun:
- 222 footnotes
- 68 pages in total
- 58 pages of actual essay
- 46 sources used
- 17 cases mentioned
- 1 picture

Date: 2009-05-07 11:13 am (UTC)My junior thesis was done too...but it has now been lost. Hopefully one of my back ups will work because my thumb drive isn't.
But go you! And 68 pages holy crap...big congrats on your accomplishment.

Date: 2009-05-07 11:17 am (UTC)I'd love to show it to you, but it's except for the summary, it's all in Swedish :)
I've been backing up the whole thing since the first day, on the FTP for my website. There were too many bad stories about people losing all their work for me not to back it up...
Thank you *hugs*
